Meridian is home to the Meridian Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1990. An all-volunteer full symphony orchestra, the Symphony presents five concerts each season, including a free outdoor concert during Meridian Dairy Days. They also host a Young Artists’ Competition each year, with the winners featured as soloists during one concert.

The New Heritage Theatre Company is a professional theatre company that calls Meridian home. Besides offering a regular season of theatrical productions, the Company has an outreach program to high school students statewide.
