• Property taxes in Meridian are roughly half of those in the neighboring cities of Boise and Nampa, averaging 1.42% in 2005.
• The Idaho Homeowners Exemption exempts 50% or $75,000, whichever is less, of a home’s assessed value for owner-occupied, primary residence including land. This exemption must be applied for by new homeowners. The Exemption is indexed annually, so the exempted value may be higher or lower in any given year.
